Selecting the focusing area [AF MODEl Selecting a scene mode according to

This is used for taking pictures of
people. (The camera automatically
detects a face and displays a
frame on the monitor). Press the
FACE DETECT _ shutter button halfway, when the
camera focuses on a face the AF
target mark lights green. When the
AF target mark lights orange, this
indicates the camera has focused
on something other than a face
This enables you to compose the
shot without worrying about the
iESP focusing position. The camera
finds the subject to focus on and
automatically adjusts the focus.
