Backlight Compensation This mode is useful when your subject is backlit or when there is a white background (such as a snow-covered landscape) behind your subject. The foreground will also be rendered brightly. Exposure is compensated to +1.5 EV overexposure to normal. Closing the lens barrier restores the Auto Exposure mode.
