About the disc
Usable discs
You can use 8 cm DVD-R and 8 cm DVD-RW
discs onlv. Use the discs with _ or
logo.
Note
We reconrmend you to use the Sony discs
which is confirmed compatibility with your
camcorder. Refer to page 6 about the
recommended discs.
Notes on use
• Hold the disc by its edge while supporting
the center hole lightly. Do not touch the
recording side (the opposite of the printed
side) of a disc.
Care and storage of the discs
• Keep the disc clean, or the quality of the
audio and video output is lessen&
• Clean the disc with a supplied cleaning cloth.
Wipe the disc from the center out. For dirt,
clean the disc with a soft cloth slightly
moistened in water, then remove the
nroisture with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use
solvents such as benzine, cleaners intended
for vinyl LPs or antistatic splay, as they may
cause a malfunction to the disc.
• Before shooting, be sure to remove dust and
fingerprints from the disc with the cleaning
cloth supplied with your camcorder.
Otherwise you may not be able to record or
play normally in some situation using that
disc.
• When you set the disc to your camcorder,
press firmly until it clicks. When the message
[C:13:K]K]] appears on the LCD screen, open
the disc cover and set the disc again.
• Do not attatch any adhesive material such as
a sticker on the surface of a disc. If you do so,
the disc may become unbalanced, and this
nray cause a malfunction of the disc or your
camcorder.
• Do not expose the disc to direct sunlight or
leave it in a hunrid place.
• When you carry or store the disc, put it in its
case.
• You can write only on a printed side using an
oil-based marker with a felt-tip, and do not
touch the ink until it dries. Do not heat the
disc or use a sharp-pointed tool, such as ball
point pen. Do not dry the surface by heating.
