Using with the Alkaline Battery

Use one commercially available alkaline battery (LR6,
"AA" size).

Push and slide the battery cover.

Open the battery cover.

Insert an alkaline battery according to the
direction indicated in the battery compart-
ment.
When inserting or removing the battery, push it to-
wards the battery terminal.

Close the battery cover.

Caution:
! Do not replace the battery during operation.
! Do not use a rechargeable battery (nickel-cad-
mium battery etc.).
2 ! Remove the battery if the unit will not be used for long
periods of time. This will prevent potential damage due
to battery leakage.
! Installing the battery incorrectly may cause the unit to
malfunction.
Notes:
! For information about the battery life, see "Specifica-
tions" on page 49.

! When the battery cover comes off, attach the cover
back as shown below.
