I OPERATION
Recording using preset time periods.
Preset Time Periods for ITR Recording.
Note:
Preset recording Ume counts down until the recording time
lS over.
Instant (attended) Timer Recording (ITR) l.ets you record for
a specific preset time period, instead of recording until the
end of tape is reached. For exampl.e, you can record a
30-minute show using the preset time period.
Turn TVand VCR on.
PLaceVCRin VCRmode by pressing the TV/VCR
button on the remote repeatedLy untiL the VCR
indicator Light appears in the VCRfront paneL.
Setect channe| 3 or 4 at the W, Ifyou have
connected your VCRto the TV'sA/V input jacks,
select the A/V source at the TV for a better
picture.
SeLectthe channel, to be watched and recorded
at the VCR.If you have a cabl.e box, select the
cabLebox output channel (usuaLLy 3 or 4) at the
VCR. Select cablebox channels atthe cablebox,
Insert a VHS cassette t ape intothe VCR,

PressSP/EP to sel.ect
recoTding speed, ifdesired.
Recording speed isaLwaysSP,unlessyou seLect
EP.
Note:The SP mode determines how much tapeis
Left and switches speed from SP to EP,if
necessanj, to compLeterecording t he program.
There wiLL be some picture and sound distoff,ion
atthe pointofthe speed change.
Press REC/ITRuntiL recording b egins_ The RE(:
indicator L ight appearsinthe VCR frontpanel..
Recording continues until.you r eachthe end of •
the tape,or unti{ you pressSTOP to step
recording.
PressREC/ITRrepeatedly t o select a p_eset
recording t ime period. Each subsequent pressof
REC/ITRincreases t he recording t ime by 30
minutesuntiL you reacha maximum of 4 hours.
