If indicators appear on the LCD screen or in the viewfinder, check the lbllowing. See the page in

Indication Cause and/or Corrective Actions
C:V1E2:V1V1/E:V1VI:V1 V1 (Self-
diagnosis display)
c\_ (Batte W level warning)
[] (Moisture condensation warning)*
(Warning indicator pertaining to
the tape)
(Eject cassette warning)*
Some symptoms can be fixed by yourself. If the problmn persists even after
you tried a couple of times, contact your Sony dealer or local authorized
Sony service t:acility.

+A batte W pack that is not an "InfoLITHIUM" battery pack is being used.
Use an "IntbLITHILEVI" battm T pack (p 92)

-)Moisture condensation has occmTed Remove the cassette and leave your
camcorder tbr at least 1 hour, then re-insat the cassette (p 95).

+Clean the head using the cleaning cassette (p. 96)

+ Symptoms that are not described above have ocmmed Remove and
insert the cassette, then operate your camcorder again Do not perform
this procedme if moistme starts to condense (p 95).
+Remove tlle power source Reconnect it again and operate your
camcorder again
+Change tlle tape.

+Contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service t_acility.
Inform them of the 5-digit code, which struts fiom "E"
• The battery pack is nearly used up.
• Depending on the operating, environmental, or battery conditions, the
c\_ indicator may flash, even if there are approximately 5 to 10 minutes
remaining.
+Eject the cassette, set the POWER switch to OFF (CHG), and leave it for
about 1 hour with the cassette lid open (p. 95).
Slow flashing:
• Thae is less than 5 minutes remaining on the tape.
• No cassette is inserted*
• The write-protect tab on the cassette is set to lock (p. 91)*
Fast flashing:
• The tape has _lm out.*
Slow flashing:
• The write-protect tab on the cassette is set to lock (p. 91).
Fast flashing:
• Moisnne condensation has occmTed (p 95).
• The self-diagnosis display code is displayed (p. 88)
