• It is e_sier to locus on tile su_iect by ino_ing the
power zoom lever towards T (telephoto) to
adjust timlocus, then towards W (wide angle) to
ac/juslthe zoom Lorrecording. Wlmn you want
to record
a
subjecl at clo_ range, nlove the
power zoom lever to W (wide angle), then
adjust
the Locus.
• The Localdistance information (distance at
which the
subject
is Locu_don, if it is dark and
Ibcus adjustment is difficult) appegws Lora li:w
svconds in the lollowing cases (This
inLormationwill not display correctly if an
optional conversion lens is being used).
When the locus mode is switched fl:om

When you sel locus inanually,
You can select and adjust the focal point to
aim it at a subject not located at the center
of the screen.

This is usefid tu shout small subjects, such
as flowers or insects. You can blur out
backgrounds and the subject stands uut
clearer.
When you set [TELE MACRO] to [ON]
(T_), the zoom (p. 4()) moves tu the top uf
the T (telephoto) side automatically and
allows recording sut!iects at a cluse
distance, duwn to about 57 cm 122 112 in.).
To cancel, touch [OFF], ur zoom to wide_
angle/W side[.
