Thechuckmustberemoved in orderto usesome
accessories. Toremove:
m Locktheswitchtriggerby placing thedirection of
rotation selector i n centerposition. S eeFigure 5,
m Unsert a 5/16in.orlarger hexkeyintothechuck ofyour
drillandtighten thechuck jawssecurely.
m Tapthehexkeysharply witha malletin a clockwise
direction. S eeFigure 13,Thiswillloosenthescrewin
thechuckforeasyremoval.
MALLET
CHUCK JAWS
Inserthexkeyinchuckandtighten chuckjaws
securely. T apsharply witha mallet i n a counterclock-
wisedirection. Thiswillloosenchuckonthespindle. I t
cannowbeunscrewed b yhand.SeeFigure15,

Openchuck jawsandremove hexkey.Remove the
chuckscrewbyturning it ina clockwise direction. See
Figure 14,

Thechuckmaybecome looseonspindle anddevelop a
wobble. P eriodically checkchuckscrewfortightness.
Totighten, f ollow thesesteps:
[3 Locktheswitchtriggerbyplacing thedirection of
rotation selector i ncenterposition. S eeFigure 5,
[3Openthechuck jaws.
[3 Unsert hexkeyintochuckandtighten chuckjaws
securely. T aphexkeysharply witha mallet i n a
clockwise direction. Thiswilltighten chuckonthe
spindle.
[3Openthechuck jawsandremove hexkey.
[3 Tighten thechuckscrew.
Note:Thechuckscrewhaslefthandthreads.
