TCP/IP and DHCP for LAN The Prestige has built-in DHCP server capability that assigns IP addresses and DNS servers to systems that support DHCP client capability.

Your Prestige will compute the subnet mask automatically based on the IP address that you entered. You don’t need to change the subnet mask computed by the Prestige unless you are instructed to do otherwise.

    P314 Broadband Sharing Gateway with 4-Port Switch 3.1.5 DHCP Configuration DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, RFC 2131 and RFC 2132) allows the individual clients (workstations) to obtain the TCP/IP configuration at start-up from a server. You can configure the Prestige as a DHCP server or disable it.

A remote node is required for placing calls to a remote gateway. A remote node represents both the remote gateway and the network behind it across a WAN connection.
