To export text captions:
Open an Adobe Captivate project.

Select File > Export > Project captions and closed captions.

In the Save As dialog box, enter a filename for the new DOC file.

Note the default directory where the file will be saved. If you want, navigate to a different location in which to
save the file.

Click Save.
The text captions from the project are converted into DOC format. A dialog box appears, confirming that the text
captions were exported to Word and asking if you would like to view the document.

Click Yes.
A new DOC file that contains the caption text opens in Word. Make any necessary text changes in the Updated
Text Caption Data column. The slide number is also included as a reference.

Save the document.
Import the text captions back into the Adobe Captivate project.

Note: You can also export closed captions to Microsoft Word for editing and then import them back into your Adobe
Captivate project. For more information about creating closed captioning, see information about adding audio to your
project.
Note: The closed captions for all slide audios are grouped together and present in the bottom rows the word document
table unlike slide captions, which are present in the table in the same order as the slides in which they were present.

Exporting Adobe Captivate project content to XML

An Adobe Captivate project file can be considered as a combination of the following types of content:
Examples include images (bitmaps, buttons, backgrounds), audio, flv files, and videos (swfs).
Static content
Such content cannot be customized for different languages without creating new files with content in the
respective language.
Dynamic content or localizable content
can be localized in different languages.
When you export the dynamic content of an Adobe Captivate project to an XML file, you can edit and translate
the following objects in the XML:
Examples include text captions, button text, and slide notes, which
