In the Phrase text box, type in the sentence or phrase that will contain a blank space to be filled in by users.

Select a word or phrase in the Phrase text box and click Add Blank.

In the Blank Answer dialog box, select an option for how users will choose the correct answer:
The user types in the answer, which is compared to the list below if you want users to provide an answer on
their own.
The user selects an answer from the list below if you want to provide users with a list of possible answers from
which they can make a selection.
Click Add and enter a word or phrase that correctly fills in the blank space in the question. Click Add and

Delete as necessary to create an appropriate list.
Note: You can add answers more quickly by clicking directly in the empty list.
(Optional) Select The answer is case-sensitive to require that users enter the correct combination of lowercase

and uppercase letters when filling in the blank. For example, if the answer to the question is "Windows" and you
select the case-sensitive option, an answer of "windows" would be incorrect.
Click OK.

Select the Options tab.

(Optional) In Type, click the pop-up menu and select if the question is graded or a survey.

If you would like the Clear, Back, and Skip buttons to appear on the question slide so it is easier for users to

navigate, select these options.
Complete the If correct answer area. The following are the options:

Provide a text message when the user supplies a correct answer. Clear this option to

provide no feedback for a correct answer.
Click the desired action or destination to follow the user's last attempt. You can choose from the

Project continues playing.
Continue
Project returns to the previous slide.
Go to previous slide
Project proceeds to the next slide.
Go to next slide
Another box appears where you specify a destination slide in the project.
