Setting default directories in MenuBuilder
MenuBuilder lets you select the default directories for many of the items related to MenuBuilder projects. For
example, if you have a graphics directory that is likely to be the source for many of your images, you can set the
MenuBuilder default Image directory to your preferred directory.
To set default directories:
Open MenuBuilder.

Select Options > Preferences.

The Preferences dialog box appears.
Click the Directories tab and adjust the options:

This option refers to the folder that contains MenuBuilder projects. The contents of this
Project directory
folder appear in the initial MenuBuilder dialog box, allowing you to see existing MenuBuilder projects without
navigating. By default, this folder is My Documents\My Adobe Captivate Projects. To select a different folder, click
More.
Background directory
usually refer to the background graphics of templates. If you have Microsoft PowerPoint installed on your
computer and have not created custom templates, MenuBuilder uses the PowerPoint templates as the default
option for MenuBuilder templates. Consequently, the default background folder is My Documents\My Pictures.
To select a different folder, click More.
This option refers to the folder that contains MenuBuilder audio. By default, this folder is
Audio directory
Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 3\Gallery\Sound. To select a different folder, click More.
This option refers to the folder that contains MenuBuilder icons (ICO files). By default, this
