Analog Inputs
1 Mic, 2 Mic
Gain setting for the microphone preamps of input 1 and 2. The current gain is displayed in dB to
the left of the fader. Phantom power (48V) can be selected for each microphone input sepa-
rately.
3 Line, 4 Line
Gain setting for the line/instrument inputs 3 and 4. The current gain is displayed in dB to the left
of the fader. Activate the option Inst to use inputs 3 and 4 with instruments. The input imped-
ance is raised to 470 kOhm, the input sensitivity increases by 10 dB. Pad decrease the input
sensitivity by 12 dB.
5-8 Line
Defines the reference level for the rear analog inputs 5-8.
Analog Outputs
1-6 Line
Defines the reference level for the rear analog outputs 1-6.
7-8 Phones
Defines the reference level for the rear analog outputs 7/8.
Digital Settings
SPDIF In
Defines the input for the SPDIF signal. 'Coaxial' relates to the RCA socket, 'Optical' to the opti-
cal TOSLINK input. The current sample rate of the SPDIF input signal is also displayed.
SPDIF Out
The SPDIF output signal is constantly available at the phono plug. After selecting 'Optical' it is
also routed to the optical TOSLINK output. For further details about the settings 'Professional',
'Emphasis' and 'Non-Audio', please refer to chapter 28.2.
Clock Mode
The unit can be configured to use its internal clock source (Master), or the clock source pre-
defined via Pref. Sync Ref (AutoSync).
Pref. Sync Ref.
Used to pre-select the desired clock source. If the selected source isn't available, the system
will change to the next available one. The current clock source and sample rate is displayed in
the AutoSync Ref display.
The automatic clock selection checks and changes between the clock sources Word Clock,
ADAT and SPDIF.
AutoSync Ref.
Displays the current clock source and sample rate of the clock source.
Word Clock Out
The word clock output signal usually equals the current sample rate. Selecting Single Speed
causes the output signal to always stay within the range of 32 kHz to 48 kHz. So at 96 kHz and
192 kHz sample rate, the output word clock is 48 kHz.
