OCCUPANCY OPERATION:
Occupied State:
- Thermostat waits for a door open.
Door Open:
- Thermostat waits for a door close.
- If door is open more than 5 minutes the
thermostat turns the HVAC system outputs to
OFF.
Door Close:
- On door close the thermostat looks for
occupancy.
- If the thermostat find occupancy it goes to
Occupied State.
- If thermostat does not find occupancy it goes
to Unoccupied State.
Unoccupied State:
- the thermostat goes into unoccupied setback
mode, as determined by factory or user settings.
- Thermostat continues to monitor the
occupancy sensor and will go to Occupied State
if it see occupancy.
Door/ Window Switch Only:
- Thermostat will disable the HVAC outputs if
open for longer than 5 minutes.
ISSUES:
- Timing of return to occupied temperature.
- Thermostat display in unoccupied setback
mode.
