Select any additional option re-
quired.
Press the appropriate additional op-
tion button.
Soak
For heavily soiled and stained items
with dried-on stains, or ones which
cannot be bleached out, (e.g. blood,
fats and oils, cocoa).
A length of time of between 30 minutes
and 6 hours can be chosen, in 30
minute periods for the "Soak" process.
– When the Soak button is pressed for
the first time, the first 30 minutes of
the soak time are added to the pro-
gramme time.
– Each further press of the button in-
creases the soak time in 30 minute
periods up to a maximum of 6 hours.
Deleting the soak time
Press the Soak button repeatedly
until the indicator light goes out.
How to wash correctly
Pre-wash
For heavily soiled and stained items.
Short
For lightly soiled items.
This shortens the programme running
time. In the COTTONS, MINIMUM
IRON, Silks and Mixed wash pro-
grammes only two rinses are carried
out. With the exception of the Silks pro-
gramme, the rinses are carried out with
a higher water level.
Water plus
If you want to increase the water level
for a wash process you can choose
one of the four options for the Water
plus button. The options are explained
in the section on "Programmable func-
tions - Water plus system".
The machine is set at the factory so
that the water level in the main wash
and rinses will be increased if the
Water plus button is pressed.
Buzzer
At the end of the programme or when
Rinse hold is reached an audible tone
sounds repeatedly.
The buzzer will continue to sound until
the washing machine is switched off.
Once switched on, the buzzer remains
activated until it is switched off again.
