5. Make sure the Input 1 fader is set to 0. If it is not, set it to 0.

6. Play the guitar and note the meter in the Mixer's Input 1 strip; it should
be moving, indicating a signal is present. If the meter isn't indicating
a signal while you play the guitar, turn up the Gain 1 knob on the IO
FW810S until it does. Aim for a peak signal level which does not exceed
-6 dB on the meter when the guitar is strummed.
