• Add paper or permanent filter to the brew basket.
Krups original accessories:
#4 paper filters 100-pack. Item # 983
#4 size gold tone filter. Item # 049
• Add ground coffee to the basket.
Measure one rounded coffee scoop per 5 oz. cup of water.
This simple step is critical to the taste of your brewed coffee.
See your brewing guide on page 9 for more detail.
• Close the lid and insert the carafe into the machine.
Be sure the carafe sits straight and level on the heating plate before
starting the brew cycle.
*NOTE : If you use the carafe to fill the tank with cold water rinse the
carafe with hot water before starting the brew cycle. This will help raise the
temperature of the coffee in the carafe.
