Installing Amanda Portal Station
System Requirements
Installing Amanda Portal clients is a simple process. The only decisions you
have to make are about the installation folder, the name of the program
group, and what clients to install. Amanda Portal has three clients:
•
Amanda Portal Station for controlling your mailbox, routing incom-
ing calls, and managing the messages sent to or from your mailbox.
•
CallQ Agent for processing incoming calls from a queue of calls to
a team, for example, a customer support group.
•
Amanda Portal Station Addition for the Amanda administrator.
To run these clients, you need one of the following operating systems:
•
Windows 95 with Internet Explorer 5.0
•
Windows 98
•
Windows NT 4.0, Service Pack 5 or later
•
Windows 2000, Service Pack 2
To install Amanda Portal clients:
1.
From the CD ROM or a network location, start client.exe.
The Welcome dialog box opens.
