What to Do Next
After configuring router to RADIUS server communication, configure RADIUS server groups. (See the
"Configuring RADIUS Server Groups"
Cisco IOS XR System Security Configuration Guide for the Cisco CRS-1 Router
SC-28
Step 6
for each external server
Configuring AAA Services on Cisco IOS XR Software
Purpose
Sets the authentication and encryption key for all RADIUS
communications between the router and the RADIUS
daemon.
(Optional) Forces RADIUS to use the IP address of a
specified interface or subinterface for all outgoing RADIUS
packets.
The specified interface or subinterface must have an IP
address associated with it. If the specified interface or
subinterface does not have an IP address or is in the
down state, then RADIUS reverts to the default. To
avoid this, add an IP address to the interface or
subinterface or bring the interface to the up state.
The vrf keyword enables the specification on a per-VRF
basis.
Saves configuration changes.
When you issue the end command, the system prompts
you to commit changes:
Uncommitted changes found, commit them before
exiting (yes/no/cancel)?
[cancel]:
Entering yes saves configuration changes to the
running configuration file, exits the configuration
session, and returns the router to EXEC mode.
Entering no exits the configuration session and
returns the router to EXEC mode without
committing the configuration changes.
Entering cancel leaves the router in the current
configuration session without exiting or
committing the configuration changes.
Use the commit command to save the configuration
changes to the running configuration file and remain
within the configuration session.
(Optional) Displays information about the RADIUS servers
that are configured in the system.
section.)
