or, if the Emergency Call Message
is turned off, the display will show:
5. Press Ø to turn the feature on, or
Ç to turn the feature off.
6. Press ´ to exit the menu.
This feature will enable the phone to display Emergcy
when Turbo Dialing from memory location 01 and
allow a call to be placed from that location even if the
phone is locked. Automatic Redial cannot be used in
this instance. If this feature is turned off, Turbo Dialing
from memory location 01 will still work but the phone
must be unlocked and Emergcy will not be displayed.
We recommend that if you desire to use this feature
that personal numbers be accessed only through
¤-·, and memory location 01 be reserved for
either a local emergency number, a special cellular
emergency number, or the phone number of a close
friend or relative that you would like to contact in case
of emergency.
Please be advised that:
1. Not all cellular systems will allow access to
conventional emergency numbers.
2. Some cellular systems have their own emergency
numbers.
NOTE If you have enabled the Theft Alarm, the phone
must be unlocked before attempting the call. See
Theft Alarm on page 82 for more information.
