Machine sub-menu.
The optional Answering Machine offers 75 seconds of
voice memory. Both the incoming messages and
outgoing greeting are stored on the telephone's
internal memory. All Answering Machine features
including message playback, greeting playback and
record, and answering machine options are available
in this menu. In order to conserve your recording time,
callers must begin speaking within two seconds of the
prompt tone.
If the Answering Machine responds to a call, you may
still press Í or open the flip to answer the incoming
call and override the Answering Machine.
When the Answering Machine is full, it will cease
answering incoming calls (if it is currently on). If only
the DTMF Callback Message feature is on and the
Answering Machine is off, your Recorded Greeting
Announcement will still play and callers will be able to
leave numeric (but not voice) messages. See Select
