To protect the battery, rapid charging halts prior to
reaching full charge and trickle charging begins.
Leave batteries in the charger for two to three
additional hours to reach full capacity.
IntelliCharge E•P™ Rapid Charger
The IntelliCharge E•P (Expert Performance) Rapid
Charger will rapid charge any Motorola nickel
cadmium, nickel metal hydride, or lithium ion battery.
Lithium ion and other new E•P batteries contain
intelligence to 'talk' to the IntelliCharge E•P to help
obtain an optimal charge and maximum battery life.
Each pocket of the IntelliCharge E•P charger has its
own multicolored light to indicate that the battery has
been properly placed in the charger pocket and that
the battery is either rapid charging (red and/or yellow)
or trickle charging (green). While the battery in the
rear pocket is waiting to be charged, the lights flash.
Nickel cadmium and nickel metal hydride slim size
batteries will charge to approximately 90% of capacity
within 60 minutes. Mid-size batteries will charge to
approximately 90% of capacity within 80 minutes and
the larger size batteries within approximately 90
minutes. Lithium ion slim batteries will charge in three
hours.
