    Using Perfect Binder PB-503 Turning On/Off the Heater of the Perfect Binder The perfect binder has an inner heater to add heat to paste pellets for making perfect-bound books. It requires approximately 20 minutes of warmup time to melt the pellets to be ready for the operation. Adding heat continuously to paste pellets, however, may deteriorate them if the perfect binder is kept un- operated.

    Maintenance & Troubleshooting Maintenance & Troubleshooting Adding Paste Pellets If the perfect binder is out of paste pellets, the machine warmup cannot be completed with the following message displayed on the Machine Status Screen, and consequently the binding operation is unavailable. When the paste pellets run out during the binding operation, the machine stops the job immediately and the binding operation also becomes unavailable.

    Maintenance & Troubleshooting If Paper Jam Indicator Lights With the Staple Finisher FS-521 installed on the left side of the Perfect Binder PB-503, the paper jam indicator will light when paper misfeed occurs in the conveyance section of the perfect binder while delivering output sheets to the staple finisher.
