After a package has been imported into the Software Manager database, you can do the
following to prepare it for deployment:
Create a package definition, which specifies the installation file and/or other files to
be installed and one or more command lines.
Define dependency relationships between packages.
Prepare a group of packages for deployment.

Enable packages for Software Virtualization Solution (SVS).
Perform impact and risk assessments on hotfixes and patches.
Set the package status, which indicates whether a package is still in development,
available for deployment, or retired.
Distribute available packages to end users or to a distribution tool.
Do this to deploy a package that has no dependencies or that needs no special
command line to run.
To deploy patches, transforms, Wise package definition files, and multiple related
packages, you must add them to a group.
