To create a new connection item, on the File menu, click New Item >
Advanced.
3 In the Remote Properties window, on the Connection Info tab, select the name
of your modem.
4 Select one of the following start modes:
Remote Control
Remote Management
File Transfer
Symantec pcAnywhere lets you switch modes during a session.

5 If you want to connect through pcAnywhere Gateway or pcAnywhere Access
Server, check Connect through Gateway or Access Server.
If you select this option, click Details to set up the connection to the gateway
computer or access server.
