Kaspersky Anti-Virus for xBSD Mail Server checks mail databases of the
following formats:
Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express (*.pst and *.pab
files, a type of MS Mail archive);
Microsoft Internet Mail (*.mbx files, a type of MS Internet Mail ar-
chive);
Eudora Pro & Lite;
Pegasus Mail;
Netscape Navigator Mail;
JSMail SMTP/POP3 server (user database).
To check for viruses in mail databases,
type Yes in the MailBases line of the profile. Otherwise, type No.
This parameter corresponds to the command line switch -MD[-]. The
switch -MD enables, and the switch -MD- disables your anti-virus
scanner to check for viruses in mail databases.
While scanning mail databases Kaspersky Anti-Virus for xBSD Mail
Server checks every entry and scans attached files. The following for-
mats are supported: UUEncode; XXEncode; btoa (up to 5.0); btoa 5.*;
BinHex 4.0; ship; NETRUN 3.10; NETSEND 1.0 (not packed);
NETSEND 1.0C (packed); MIME base64.
To check for viruses in plain mail files,
type Yes in the MailPlain line of the profile. Otherwise, type No.
This parameter corresponds to the command line switch -MP[-]. The
switch -MP enables and the switch -MP- disables your anti-virus scan-
ner to check for viruses in plain mail files.
