8-2 Technical Information
Before you begin troubleshooting, make sure that all your equipment is
connected and functioning properly. Refer to your scanner manual and
to the OmniPage Pro Installation and Release Notes to verify all scanner
connections.
Run through the following checklist and eliminate these potential
problems.
You must be running System 7.0 or later. Earlier versions are
incompatible with OmniPage Pro.
To send mail from OmniPage Pro you must have PowerTalk installed.
To use drag and drop and AppleGuide functionality with System 7.0 or

Before you install OmniPage Pro you must have a minimum of 12MB
hard disk space available to store all the program files. This amount may
vary and in some situations OmniPage Pro will require more disk space
for installation. A dialog box informs you if this is the case after you
begin installation.
After installation you must have enough hard disk space available to
store your scanned and saved documents. A minimum of 10MB is
recommended.
In the Finder, double-click your hard disk to open it. Check the numbers
in the upper right corner of the window to see how much hard disk
space is available.
How much disk space you need depends on the number, size, and
complexity of your documents. The one-page Standardized Form
