To erase zones:
1

2

Only the zone borders go away; the contents of the page image
remain.
To erase all zones at once, double-click the Erase Zones tool.
Zone Drag and Drop
OmniPage Pr supports Apple's Drag and Drop functionality on systems
that have it installed (as a separate extension or as part of System 7.5).
You can drag zones from the image window to the desktop (or another
application that supports Drag and Drop) where they will be converted
to 75 dpi line-art PICT files. You can drag images from the text window
to the desktop where they will be converted to PICT files at the quality
they were scanned in. For example, a grayscale image dragged from the
image window will create a low-res, line-art PICT. If dragged from the
text window, it will create a grayscale PICT.
Assigning Zone Contents Files
For better recognition accuracy, you can assign zone contents files to the
zones that you draw in a page image.
For example, if your image has a paragraph of text followed by a table
of numbers, you can draw separate zones around each and assign an All
Characters zone contents file to the paragraph and a Numerics zone
contents file to the table.
To assign zone contents files to zones:
1
Click within a zone to select it.
2
Select the appropriate zone contents file in the Zone Contents
pop-up menu.
3
Repeat steps one and two for any other zones you wish.
You can change a zone contents assignment at any time before
recognition.
