Auto Zones

Choose Auto Zones to have OmniPage Pro automatically draw and order
zones that determine what will be recognized in the page image. This
command performs the same function as the Zone button when Auto
Zones is selected in the pop-up menu.
To automatically create zones and determine the text flow for
recognition, OmniPage Pro uses the selected Zones option in the settings
panel: Automatic, Single Column or Table, or None. For more information
about each of these options, see the Zones Options entry in Chapter 4,
The Settings Panel.
If a page already has zones, you are prompted to delete the current
zones before auto zoning occurs; click OK to proceed. The image
window is then updated so that you can review the zones that are
drawn.
Each automatically drawn zone appears with a border around it and a
number indicating its recognition order. Using the image window tools,
you can reorder zones for recognition and delete zones that you do not
want to recognize.
To reorder zones for recognition:
1 Click the Order Zones tool.
The numbers in the zones will disappear.
2 Click within the zone you want to recognize first.
The number 1 will appear in the zone.
3 Click within the next zone you want recognized.
The number 2 will appear in the zone.
4 Continue until all the zones are appropriately ordered.
If you do not number all the zones, they will be numbered for
you.
