Recommended Solution
Tighten loose cable connections.
Replace serial cable.
Check that the serial cable is
connected to the com port on the
PC computer and to the serial port
on the switch.
Verify that the filename was typed
correctly.
Verify that the path to the file is
correct.
Check that file extension is correct
(.bin)
Check that the com port number
is a numeric entry not greater
than 4.
Verify that the correct port was
selected.
If another program is using the
same port, quit the program.
If a serial cable is not installed or
is defective, install a new cable.
