The Certificate Manager subsystem provides the services of a Certificate Authority (CA) in
the PKI. It can issue, renew, and revoke certificates; create and issue CRLs; and publish
certificates and CRLs.
This chapter discusses the Certificate Manager subsystem. It provides an overview of the
subsystem including the decisions you need to make before installing the subsystem,
complete installation instructions, an overview of the Certificate Manager processes
including information on configuring those processes, information about FBCA, and details
on configuring a cloned CA.
