Defaults Reference

User Supplied Subject Name Default

This default populates a user-supplied subject name into the certificate request. If included
in the certificate profile, allows a user to supply a subject name for the certificate, subject to
the constraints set.
You can define the following constraints with this default:
Subject Name Constraint, see "Subject Name Constraint," on page 458.
No Constraints, see "No Constraint," on page 456.

User Supplied Validity Default

This default populates a user-supplied validity in the certificate request. If included in the
certificate profile, allows a user to supply the validity period, subject to the constraints set.
No inputs are provided to add user supplied validity date to the enrollment form. You can
create an input for this purpose using the CS SDK. You can also submit a request that
contains this information.
You can define the following constraints with this default:
Validity Constraint, see "Validity Constraint," on page 458.
No Constraints, see "No Constraint," on page 456.

Validity Default

This default populates a server-side configurable validity into the certificate request.
You can define the following constraints with this default:
Validity Constraint, see "Validity Constraint," on page 458.
No Constraints, see "No Constraint," on page 456.
