Installation:
1. Please note the requirement to dispose of Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment separately from household waste (WEEE
marked with crossed out wheelie bin symbol).
2. Please consider your role in contributing to re-use and recycling by returning this product at end of life to a collection centre
for waste electrical equipment or a Civic Amenity site, or to a retail outlet from which you are purchasing a replacement.
3. This equipment may contain substances that are hazardous to health and the environment if disposed of carelessly. It is
important that it is separated from normal household waste and recycled in the WEEE chain
4. The "crossed out wheelie bin symbol" on a product indicates this equipment must not be disposed of in normal household
waste, but should be disposed of according to local WEEE regulations

! Electrical products can cause death or injury, or damage to property. If in any doubt about
the installation or use of this product, consult a competent electrician.
1 Ensure mains supply is switched off before commencing installation.
2.Remove the front diffuser from the body by removing the 2 fixing screws.
3.Release the gear tray by easing the plastic clips away from the tray and lifting the
tray away from the base.
4.Knock out the intended cable entry hole suitable for your installation;Fit cable gland(if
weatherproofing necessary)
5. Mark appropriate fixing points on wall or ceiling; check that fixings will not impinge on concealed
cables or pipes before drilling holes.
6. Fix luminaire to the wall/ceiling using suitable screws.
7. Write installation date on battery and connect battery
8. Connect wires from unswitched supply to terminals on gear tray, brown to L,Blue to N and
green/yellow to earth (Non Maintained)； In the maintained emergency unit: for LEDs always on ,
link terminal "Ls" to terminal "L". LEDs controlled by switch connect switched live wire to terminal
Ls and permanent live to L
Note: if "Ls" terminal not connected, fitting works as non-maintained.
9. Reassemble gear tray and diffuser.
10. Switch on suppy: the green LED should come on indicating conrrect battery charge has
started. In the non-maintained unit,the LEDs only lights if the mains supply fails; In the
maintained unit,the LEDs will light(if switched live on),when the mains supply fails,battery
will operate LEDs emergency mode.
