ACM604
4 x 60 Watt Mixer Amplifier

Description

The ACM604 features four individual 60 watt mixer amplifiers in a 2 RU chassis and is suitable
for rack or desk mounting.
Inputs
Each of the four mixer amplifiers feature three dual mic/line inputs accessible via barrier strips
on the rear of the unit. Each input may be switched between mic or line via an internal dip
switch. A level control is available per input channel.
Outputs
The ACM604 features 100 volt, 70 volt, 8 ohm isolated transformer outputs per amplifier
module. With the addition of an optional tone generator module a vox triggered relay output
is also available on the rear panel for activation of external devices from the vox muting circuit.
In most cases this would be used as a muting bypass relay, which when used with the appro-
priate external attenuator, such as our ATC5143 or ATC5143FS, will maintain paging levels irre-
spective of the attenuator setting. VCA control of the master output of each amplifier module
is also available via the rear terminal strip. Each amplifier also includes a recessed bass and tre-
ble control.
Tone Generator
The ACM604 offers the convenience of an optional plug in tone generator module. All four
channels of this amplifier may have their own tone generator module. The individual tones are
accessible via contact closure on the rear of each amplifier module. There are four tones on
the optional plug in module, alert, evac, bell and pre announce. Spare contacts on the board
allow a vox triggered output for the activation of remote devices.
Muting
VOX muting is standard on the ACM604. A mic or line signal on channel 1 will mute channels
2 and 3 per amplifier. The muting function can be disabled via an internal link. Each of the four
mixer amplifier modules has its own muting circuit.
Phantom Power
Phantom Power (18 volts DC) is available from all mic inputs. An internal dip switch allows
phantom power to be selected on a per input, per module basis.
Protection
Internal current limiting protects the amplifier from both overload and overdrive conditions.
Fan cooling will be activated if the unit exceeds a factory preset temperature.
Australian Monitor Installation Series amplifiers feature a protection network that provides
greater stability and performance. Our amplifiers are recognised
worldwide for their reliability and this is due to the extensive levels of
current limiting which protect the amplifiers from both overload and
overdrive conditions.
