The 8-port GigE line card provides Layer-2 switching functions. The card is a
single slot line card, and is installed either in slot 0 or 1. The GigE card has 8 RJ-
45 interfaces. These interfaces can auto-negotiate, transmit, and receive data
packets at the rate of 10/100/1000 Mbps.
