We suggest using a 750W or higher power supply; this is of course dependent on how many
devices you
attach.
A 750W power is sufficient for systems without many devices (i.e. 1 hard drive,
1 optical drive, and 1 or 2 expansion cards) however a higher wattage solution may be needed if the
system is fully loaded. Refer to the
www.tyan.com
website for further information.
NOTE: The Tempest i5000PT (S5383) peripheral drive power connector must be independent of
any other devices. A device such as a DVD/CD-ROM drive, hard drive, or any other devices cannot
be attached onto the same power line. If connected, system stability is compromised.
2.13 – Finishing Up
Congratulations on making it this far! You've finished setting up the hardware aspect of your
computer. Before closing up your chassis, make sure that all cables and wires are connected
properly, especially IDE cables and most importantly, jumpers. You may have difficulty in powering
on your system if the motherboard jumpers are not set correctly.
In the rare circumstance that you have experienced difficulty, you can find help by asking your
vendor for assistance. If they are not available for assistance, please find setup information and
documentation online at our website or by calling your vendor's support line.
