Security functions

Your Tablet PC enables you to protect your system and personal data against unauthorised access
in a number of ways. By combining these options, you can achieve maximum protection for your
system.
In this chapter you will learn which security functions your Tablet PC is equipped with, the benefits
these functions offer you and how to configure and use them.
Bear in mind that improper use of security functions will mean that you will also be unable
!
to access your system and your data. Therefore, please note the following information:
Back up your data on external data carriers at regular intervals.
Some security functions need you to choose passwords. Please be sure to note
these passwords, as otherwise you will no longer be able to access your system.
We recommend that you make a note of the passwords and keep them in a safe
place.
If you lose both the user and the admin passwords you will need to contact the help desk.
The telephone numbers are contained in the "Help Desk" supplement. Passwords are not
covered by your warranty and a charge will be made for assistance.
