Parameters
The multibyte string from which to extract a new multibyte string.
value
The number of the first character to extract.
index
The number of characters to include in the extracted string, not including the
count
index character.
Returns
A string.
Description
String function; extracts a new multibyte character string from a multibyte character string.

Microphone class

Description
The Microphone class lets you capture audio from a microphone attached to the computer that is
running Flash Player.
The Microphone class is primarily for use with Flash Communication Server, but can be used in a
limited fashion without the server—for example, to transmit sound from your microphone
through the speakers on your local system.
To create or reference a Microphone object, use the
