The 8935CF supports following modes of operations:
• Auto reclock 270 Mb/s / 1.5 Gb/s / bypass mode

• Fixed reclock 270 Mb/s mode
• Fixed reclock 1.5 Gb/s mode
• Fixed bypass mode

The 8935CF is a four-channel electrical to
optical broadcast quality fiber optic conversion
module with reflected electrical outputs. It
can accommodate SD/HD-SDI video inputs
from 270 Mb/s to 1.5 Gb/s as well as DVB
ASI, unbalanced AES, and Grass Valley audio
TDM interfaces. The optical circuitry is housed
in dedicated strapmount SFP submodule
devices mounted on the module circuit board.
To construct a four-channel solution, select
two of the SFP transmitter devices for two
four-channel operation. The SFPs selected
set the power and the wavelength for the
unit, which allows for CWDM operation when
combined with the 8939FCA/8939FCB optical
multiplexer. This replaceable optical technology
allows for easy upgrade, reconfiguration, and
servicing.
Parameters are controllable via the NetConfig
Web browser interface for configuration and
parameter adjustment. The popular NetCentral
application provides health monitoring for
modular products as well as many other Grass
Valley products.

Ordering Information
This module can be mounted in a single slot in
a GeckoFlex frame but not in other 8900 series
frames, including Gecko-A or Gecko-V frames.
