Included Parts:
1. Temperature Probe (P/N: 1-1272-1)
Required Tools:
2. #2 Phillips Screwdriver
3. 5/16" Wrench
4. 1/2" Wrench or Ratchet
5. Allen Wrench (3/32")
6. Pliers (Adjustable or Vise Grip)
CAUTION: Detach power cord before
proceeding
Remove Safety Bolt behind Adjustment
Knob using 1/2" Wrench
Remove pressure adjustment knob by
loosening 1/4"-20 x 1/4" set screw using
3/32" Allen Wrench

Temperature Probe Replacement Guide
Preparation and Initial Disassembly
Detach power cord. Remove safety bolt and pressure adjustment knob using specified tools.
Heater Assembly Handling
Grip spindle with pliers, unthread from arm. Ensure heater is cool and support its weight.
Controller Housing and Wiring Disconnection
Remove control housing screws, unplug probe, and disconnect wires from terminal strip.
Heater Wiring and Conduit Removal
Disconnect ground wire, unscrew conduit nut, and remove conduit/wiring from housing.
Probe Replacement
Remove heater cover and insulation. Remove old probe and install the new temperature probe.
Wire Routing and Cover Reassembly
Insert new probe wire through conduit. Replace heater cover and secure with screws.
Electrical Connections Reassembly
Reinstall conduit nut and ground wire. Reconnect braided wires to controller terminal strip.
Final Reassembly and Verification
Install controller housing, thread adjustment spindle, and install pressure knob set screw.
Final Installation and Operational Check
Install safety bolt. Plug in press and turn on to verify proper operation.
