170 Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus
On-access Displays specified message when a virus is
scanning only detected. This message cannot exceed 255
characters.
None Display the contents of <filename> when a virus is
found. Use this to provide contact information and
instructions to the user when the scanner finds a
virus.
This option is especially useful in network
environments, because you can easily maintain
the message text in a central file rather than on
each workstation.
Any character is valid in a contact message except
a backslash (\). Messages beginning with a slash
(/)or a hyphen (-) should be placed in quotation
marks.
On-demand Deletes infected files permanently.
scanning only
On-demand Do not scan or add validation codes to the files
scanning only listed in <filename>.
Use this option to exclude specific files from a scan
operation. List the complete path to each file that
you want to exclude on its own line. You may use
wildcards * and ?
On-access Scans executable files when you modify them in
scanning only any way, including executing them.
This scan operation will not check the boot sector.
On-demand Do not scan <n> hours after the previous scan
scanning only operation.
In environments where the risk of viral infection is
very low, use this option to prevent unnecessary
scan operations.
Note that the greater the scan frequency, the
greater your protection against infection.
None Displays a list of Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus scanner
command-line options, each with a brief
description.
On-access Does not check any files loaded from the specified
scanning only drive(s).
