Running the on-demand scanner with
command-line arguments
You can run the Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus on-demand scanner with
command-line arguments either from a Windows MS-DOS Prompt window,
or by restarting your computer in DOS mode. (You can also run the scanner
without command-line arguments, either from a Windows MS-DOS Prompt
window or from the Start menu's Run dialog box.) Network Associates
recommends restarting in DOS mode for best results. To learn how to restart
your computer in DOS mode, see your Microsoft Windows documentation. To
run the program, change to the directory in which the file SCAN32.EXE is
located, and type scan32 followed by the scanning options you want to use
(see
details).
To run the Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus on-demand scanner, follow these steps:
