Cover any surface on the Bracket with removable tape, (masking tape for example), that may contact the vehicle to protect the finish. Slide the Top Support Bracket under the rubber hood seal, (Figure 5C).

Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could damage the finish. For stainless steel: Aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs on the finish.
