The self-centering shelf bit jig spaces shelf
pin holes 1-1/4" (32 mm) apart and 1-7/16"
(37 mm) or 2-1/2" (64 mm) from the edge of
the cabinet frame. It can be used for both face
frame and frameless applications. These holes
can be used with 1/4" (71653) or 5 mm (71654)
shelf pins.
NOTE: The self-centering shelf pin bit is
designed to stop at a set depth. This depth
is reached when the internal spring is fully
compressed. Before drilling into a workpiece, it
is recommended that you practice on a scrap
board to get the feel of the bit.
