3.3.1 Standard support : TCDZ 01 This installation does not allow the use of an energy-saving damper or an adapter plate. Ensure that the duct can support the weight of the roof fan. • Place the 4 brackets B and the 2 clamps C on the duct. •...
Page 9
3.3.4 Adapter plate : TCDZ 05 The adapter plate allows the roof fan to be connected to a circular duct. This is a part for the airflow connection; it is not designed to support the weight of the roof fan. It is incompatible with the use of the TCDZ 03 energy-saving shutter and the TCDZ 09 acoustic curb.

3.3.7 Straight, inclined and acoustic upstand: TCDZ 04, TCDZ 07 ou 09 In accordance with DTU 43.1, it is possible to combine a TCDZ 03 energy-saving shutter or a TCDZ 05 adapter plate (except TCDZ 09) to be placed inside the curb. For roof fan with a straight acoustic curb (TCDZ 09), allow for a pressure drop of 80 Pa.

3.3.9 Overpressure flaps : TCDZ 12, TCDZ 14, TCDZ 15 Pressure relief dampers. Ensure a good air and watertight seal when the roof fan is stopped. TCDZ 12: Option supplied mounted on the TEDV ranges - Provide as many TCDZ 12s as there are discharge faces.
3.4 Removing the hubcaps To remove the hubcaps: Lift the hubcap slightly upwards. Pull the hubcap outward. It is not necessary to remove the plastic cap. 3.5 Roof fan mounting The support surface that will support the roof fan base must be as flat as possible (sealing frame or ups- tand supplied on request).
3.6 Mounting the roof fan kits 3.6.1 Vertical discharge kit KRVT Allows you to convert a TEDH F400 horizontal roof fan into a TEDV F400 vertical roof fan. Protective gloves are recommended when handling the various components. Sizes 250 to 400 : •...

3.6.2 Single-sided rejection blanking plate kit POPM On TEDH and TEDV F400, prevents air discharge and direct projections onto the wall. It can be installed on any side of the machine without degrading performance (limited to one per machine). • Remove the grid by unscrewing the Ø4.2 self-drilling screws (size 8 spanner).
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION 4.1 Preliminary precautions Electrical connections must be made by qualified personnel. The electrical connection must be made in accordance with the NF C15-100 standard, which states that the motor must be protected by an omnipolar device with an opening distance of 3 mm per contact. Do not forget to connect the earth. In the case of use in smoke extraction, refer to the NF S 61-932 standard for connection and installation.

4.7 Electrical connection of the pressure switch A pressure switch can be supplied as an option with the roof fan or delivered assembled and air-connected (INTZ + BDEZ version). In this case, it is placed under the plastic cover. Make sure to set a pressure value high enough so that the pressure switch does not trigger unexpectedly.
COMMISSIONING Before starting the turbine, ensure that the motor and impeller assembly rotates freely and that there are no objects that could be thrown by the turbine. Guards must be attached to the roof fan to prevent acci- dental contact with rotating parts. The machine must be secured to its support before being powered.
6.1 Maintenance frequency Unit/item When starting up Every 6 months minimum Check the direction of rotation, check for friction Clean if necessary, check that there is no friction Turbine between moving and fixed parts between the moving and fixed parts Check the connections, particularly the ground Tighten the terminals if necessary, check the Motor...
