BEFORE USE

  • This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
  • Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

information Note:
Because it is possible that steam may loosen, peel, discolour, deform, or melt the surface to be cleaned, we recommend that you test the heat and moisture resistance of the material to be cleaned by doing a small test on a hidden piece of the surface.

OPERATION

Filling up the water tank

  1. Make sure the steam cleaner is switched off and unplugged before filling up the water tank.
  2. Remove the safety cap from the water tank.
  3. Fill the water tank with the help of the measuring cup (max. 720 mL) and the funnel.
  4. Replace the safety cap on the water tank.
    information Note: the safety cap cannot be opened while there is pressure inside the steam cleaner.
  5. Drain all steam and allow to cool before opening. Warnings:
  • To extend the life of the steam cleaner, we recommend that you use a mixture of tap water and unscented, weakly mineralised water without additives (1:1).
  • Never use pure demineralised water, water from a tumble dryer or water softener, or rainwater.

Filling up the water tank during use

Wait until the steam cleaner stops producing steam and make sure there is no pressure inside before removing the safety cap (a special protective device prevents the safety cap from opening while there is pressure inside the steam vacuum cleaner).

  1. Press the steam button to spray steam until the tank is empty.
  2. Release the button and open the safety cap. Be careful, it may emit steam when opening.
  3. Fill up the water tank.

Using the device

  1. Plug the steam cleaner into a power socket.
  2. Press the power button.
  3. The indicator light will light up. The steam cleaner is ready to generate steam when the indicator light changes from orange to green.
  4. Remove the steam safety lock and press the steam button on the gun handle to generate steam.
  5. After use, press the steam button for a few seconds to finish releasing water condensation from the hose.

  • Do not direct the steam jet at people, animals, electrical connectors, electrical units, or devices, or at the appliance itself.
  • Do not change the accessories while steaming.
  • Before cleaning delicate surfaces, such as carpets or fabrics, we strongly recommend that you perform a test on an inconspicuous area. Wait for the steam to take effect and check that no colour change or deformation has occurred.

Accessories

Accessories can be installed directly to the accessories connector, or you can use one or two extension tubes as required.

How to use accessories

The floor head is designed to clean large surfaces, such as floors. To use it, simply put the mop on the head, as shown in Figure 3. Fig. 3 key:

  • The big nozzle can be used with or without the extension tubes. The concentrated steam jet increases the cleaning power and removes the most stubborn dirt.
  • The nylon brush is connected to the big nozzle. It is suitable for cleaning heavily soiled surfaces or bathrooms.
  • The ironing brush is mounted with the cloth and can be used with or without the extension tube. This accessory is designed to clean dirt from textile surfaces such as sofas, cushions and more.
  • The glass brush is used to remove dirt and stains from glass and glass surfaces.
  • Warning: when using the glass brush on cold windows, we advise you to preheat the surface beforehand to prevent damage to the surface. To do this, spray steam about 30 centimetres from the glass.

Switching off the device

Use the power button to switch off the steam cleaner.

Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down completely before storing it.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Unplug the steam cleaner from the mains and let it cool down before cleaning or storing it.
  • Clean dirt from the surface and ventilation holes of the steam cleaner periodically. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the surface of the steam cleaner.
  • If not in use for a long period of time, clean and store the steam cleaner in a safe and dry place.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or abrasive sponges as they may damage the product. - The power cable should not be in contact with sharp edges, and it should not be compressed by heavy objects. Store the cord in a clean, dry location always away from metal objects.
  • Do not place any heavy items on top of appliance during storage as this may result in possible damage of appliance.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the device. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

  • Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is earthed.

  • The filling opening must not be open during use.
  • The appliance must be unplugged after use and before any user maintenance is carried out.
  • This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance.
  • Children should not use the product. Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance. Close supervision is necessary if the appliance is used near children.
  • The appliance should not be left unattended while plugged to a power supply.
  • The appliance should not be used if it has fallen, shows any visible sign of damage, or if it leaks.
  • Keep the device out of reach of children when it is under tension or cooling down.
  • This device is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
  • Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service or qualified personnel in order to avoid any type of danger.
  • Unplug the appliance when it is not in use and when cleaning and maintenance of the appliance is to be carried out. Do not disconnect the device from the cord, use the plug instead.
  • Keep the packaging materials out of the reach of children, as they could be dangerous.
  • The safety valve must not be opened during operation.

Follow the instructions for its opening and filling.

  • This symbol indicates steam. Do not direct steam at another person, animal, plant, electrical appliance, or electrical outlets.
  • Do not immerse or splash the device with water or any other liquid. Do not expose the appliance to rain.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended when it is connected to a mains power supply.
  • Do not carry or pull the appliance from the power cable. Do not use the power cable as handle. Do not push the cable against corners or sharp edges. Keep the cable away from heat sources.
  • If you cannot avoid using the appliance in a wet place, use a circuit breaker. Using a circuit breaker reduces the risk of electric shock.
  • Use protective gear. Use always protective goggles. The protective gear, like dust masks, non-slip safety shoes, protective headgear or hearing protection will reduce the injuries.
  • Use the appliance and its accessories following these instructions, taking into account the work to be performed. Using the appliance for any purpose other than the main purpose may result in a hazardous situation.
  • Do not touch nor use the device with wet hands.
  • Do not use the appliance in enclosed spaces where there are flammable, explosive, or toxic vapours, such as thinner or oil paint.
  • Do not use the appliance on leather, furniture, floors polished with wax, parquet, synthetic fabrics, velvet, silk, or any other material that is not resistant to steam.
  • Do not fill the appliance with hot water or aromatic liquids, alcohol, or detergents. It could damage the appliance.
  • Do not use the appliance if you are experiencing a short circuit.
  • The appliance uses hot water to disinfect the area, which means that the safety valve, the nozzles, and the ironing brush cloth will become hot during use.
