If play (backlash) is evident, remove the gear case cover, check the gear teeth for wear, and ensure that the gear is not loose on the shaft.

Lubricate all bearings and seals, including: • Rubber o-rings and mechanical seal faces (new pump bearings installed from the factory are already lubricated).
Guards are provided as part of a complete pump and drive package and are selected by SPX FLOW Engineering for the pump, base, and motor ordered. Do not modify the guard provided by SPX FLOW.
