Safety instructions


  • When closing the sunroof, make sure to keep all body parts and/or obstructions away from the opening to prevent injury!
  • Do not stand or walk on the roof!
  • Do not use the roof as an escape hatch! Ensure that another hatch is accessible for emergencies.
  • Keep the emergency key in close proximity of the roof for manual operation.

Possible damage due to weather conditions and/or speed
Close the roof at:

  • Speeds of above 30 kts.
  • A sea state of more than 1 m.
  • At wind speeds of more than 16 kts.

Roof Operation

Roof operation is only possible if main power supply is switched on!

  1. Push and hold the "open" button (E). The roof will:

    • continue to open until the button is released.
    • continue to open until the max. open position is reached.
  2. Push and hold the "close" button (D). The roof will:
    Roof Operation - Step 2
    • continue to close until the button is released.
    • continue to close until the max. closed position is reached.

informationNOTE
To avoid water intrusion into the cabin, please clear any standing water from the glass panel prior to operation.

  • Clean the roof regularly.
  • Wash the glass panel with clean water and a soft cloth, chamois, or sponge. Never rub a dry surface. Do not use abrasive, or harsh solutions such as turpentine or mineral spirits when cleaning glass panels.
  • Wash the remainder of the roof with warm water using a professional marine grade cleaning product. Rinse with clean water.
  • Apply a thin layer of grease (Isoflex® Topas L32) to the inside of the rails (A) and guides (H) to ensure smooth sliding. Available through Webasto.
  • Never use:
    • Alkaline products containing sodium solutions;
    • Acid products like muriatic or those containing phosphor;
    • Steel wool, abrasives or sandpaper;
    • Cleaning products for glass containing alkaline, which can corrode aluminium.

Troubleshooting

  • Poor opening/tilting of the roof:
    • Clean the seal with a mild detergent and repeat opening/closing the roof.
  • Poor roof movement:
    • Clean the inside of the rails (A) and guides (H)
    • Apply grease to the inside of the rails and guides. See Fig. 1, Fig. 4 and chapter "Maintenance".
  • If the roof still does not operate smoothly, please contact boat manufacturer for maintenance and/or repair.
  • When necessary, the roof can be operated manually.
    The driving shaft of the motor can be turned with the emergency key to open or close the roof. See Fig. 5.

Do not attempt to function the roof electrically during manual override operation.
If the roof has been operated manually with emergency key, the control system must be reset. Refer to section "Reset procedure".

Reset procedure

warningNOTE
Before beginning the reset procedure, ensure there is a minimum of 20 A available.

  • Press and hold the "close" button (D) to close the roof as far forward as possible.
  • Release "close" button (D).
  • Within 1 second press and hold the "close" button (D).
    While continuing to hold the close button; after 10 seconds the glass panel moves with small steps until it's completely closed and the motor produces a loud "click" sound.
  • Release "close" button (D).
    The system has been reset.
