Quooker Nordic, Fusion, Flex, Front, PRO3, COMBI, COMBI+ Manual

Suitable for all Quooker taps and boiling water tanks.

Welcome to the Quooker family. Please read this manual before installing. We assume that the user of this manual has basic technical knowledge. If you still have questions after reading this manual, please contact Quooker customer services. Our address and phone number are listed on the back of this manual. You can also find this manual on our website quooker.co.uk.

Practical background information

The Quooker system consists of a vacuuminsulated tank, which is connected to the water supply under a worktop and connects to the Quooker tap. Your Quooker system can be expanded with a CUBE, a Cold Water Filter, a Scale Control R and/or with accessories such as a soap dispenser, a mounting bracket or a powerswitch. For more information, see our website.

Installation restrictions
For installation, always follow the prescribed method in this manual. The Quooker tap must be connected according to the locally applicable regulations. It is not permitted to connect the Quooker system to a reverse osmosis system or a water softener with a pH-reducing action.

Safety
The Quooker tap can be used by children over eight years old and individuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities, but only if they are supervised or have received instructions on the safe use of the appliance. Inform individuals unfamiliar with the Quooker system about safe use and the possible hazards concerned with using the boiling-water tap.

information Note: incorrect use could potentially lead to injury or damage to health. Prevent children from using the tap as a toy and do not allow children to clean or maintain the product without supervision. Keep the plug out of reach of small children.

The Quooker system is suitable for domestic use and use in similar situations such as: staff kitchens in stores, offices, farms and other commercial buildings, and by hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts and other residential accommodations.

Avoid spilling water on the plug. Only a qualified technician should replace a defective power supply plug. Before disconnecting, cool the tank off first. The quickest way to do this is by switching off the Quooker tank. Leave the plug in the wall socket. Then operate the boiling-water tap and close it again when the water runs cold.

Twintaps or Nordic single tap with the PRO3

Twintaps or Nordic single tap
Additional supplies needed
: cross-head screwdriver, spanners size 12 and 10.

The Nordic Twintaps consist of a mixer tap and a boilingwater tap. Should you only want to connect a boiling-water tap, skip the steps for the mixer tap. The names of the parts can also be found in the contents of the package.

Installation Nordic mixer tap (Twintaps)

  • In the case of a tap hole greater than 35 mm use an appropriate tap base ring available from Quooker.
  • Replace the black plastic fitting at the bottom of the tap with the rubber gasket only if there is a 32 mm tap hole in the work surface.
  • Screw the supplied cold and hot water hose onto the underside of the mixer tap. Tighten using spanner 10.
  • Insert the tap through the tap hole (recommended: Ø 35 mm) in the work surface.
  • Put the white tap support (only needed for a stainless steel sink or thin work surface < 10 mm) and the horseshoe-shaped brass fixing plate around the hoses.
  • Turn the nut on the thread at the bottom of the tap. Hand tighten.
  • Turn the tap so logo faces front.
  • Tighten the fixing nut with spanner 12.

Installation Nordic single tap (boiling-water tap)

  • Only if there is a tap hole of 35 mm or larger in the work surface, place the supplied centring ring around the bottom of the tap.
  • Insert the tap through the tap hole (recommended: Ø 32 mm) in the work surface.
  • First place the metal washer and then the threaded ring around the thread at the bottom of the tap. Hand tighten.
  • Loosely screw the screws into the threaded ring, but do not tighten them yet.
  • Turn the tap so logo faces front.
  • Tighten the screws.

PRO3
Additional supplies needed:
water pump pliers, spanners 12, 14, 19, 22 and 24.

Close the main stopcock or isolation valves and install the provided isolation valve. Then follow the 7 steps from the installation overview on the opposite side. The names of the parts can also be found in the contents of the package. Only the step with the red background has an additional explanation:

  • At step 5, use spanners 12 and 14 to securely tighten the boiling water hose to the tank.

Installation finished? Then follow the next steps:

  • Open the boiling-water tap (push-push-turn) and leave it open.
  • Open the main stopcock and isolation valves and check for leaks.
  • Let the water run. Black water will flow out first, this is activated carbon from the filter and is harmless. Wait until the water runs clear, then turn off the boiling-water tap.
  • Turn on the tank using the Q button located on the lid of the tank.
  • Wait 15 minutes for the system to warm up; the LED ring on the tap will then turn off.

The Quooker system is now ready for use.

  • Attach the white tap support (only necessary for stainless steel sink or work surface that is < 10 mm thick), the metal washer and then the threaded ring on the underside of the tap, and tighten.
  • Insert the screws into the threaded ring and tighten them loosely.
  • Turn the tap so logo faces front.
  • Now tighten the screws tightly with a screwdriver.

COMBI
Additional supplies needed:
water pump pliers, spanner 12, 14, 17, 19, 22 and 24.

Close the main stopcock or isolation valve and install the provided isolation valve. Then follow the 10 steps from the installation overview on the opposite side. The names of the parts can also be found in the contents of the package. Only the steps with a red background have and additional explanation:

  • At step 3, make sure that the temperature setting knob of the mixing valve remains accessible. This knob allows you to set the temperature of the hot water (between K-40 ⁰C and W-60 ⁰C).
  • In steps 5, 6 and 7, the connections are fitted with compression fittings so no gasket or washers are needed between them.
  • At step 8, use spanners 12 and 14 to securely tighten the boiling water hose to the tank.

Installation finished? Then follow the next steps:

  • Open the boiling-water tap (push-push-turn) and leave it open.
  • Open the main stopcock and isolation valve and check for leaks.
  • Let the water run. Black water will flow out first, this is activated carbon from the filter and is harmless. Wait until the water runs clear, then turn off the boiling-water tap.
  • Turn on the tank using the Q button located on the lid of the tank.
  • Wait 20 minutes for the system to warm up; the LED ring on the tap will then turn off.

The Quooker system is now ready for use.

Maintenance and service

Cleaning the tap

Below is a description for each type of finish of how best to clean the Quooker tap. After cleaning, the tap can be dried using a non-abrasive cloth or a micro-fibre cloth. This ensures a nice clean and streak-free result.

For taps with a chrome, stainless steel or gold finish, the tap can be cleaned with glass cleaner and a slightly damp cloth. Spray glass cleaner onto the cloth (not directly onto the tap) to prevent internal damage. Then rinse the cleaning cloth well with hot water and briefly squeeze out the water. Then use this cloth to remove the cleaning agent from the tap and dry the tap down with a soft cloth. Do this preferably using a microfibre cloth.

For taps with a gunmetal, rose copper or black finish, the best way to clean the tap is using hot water and a microfibre cloth. Dry the tap after use to avoid limescale. Do this preferably using a microfibre cloth.

information Note: when using gunmetal, rose copper or black taps and accessories, do not use cleaning agents with a carbon compound (such as isopropanol, alcohol, ethanol, etc.) unless highly diluted such as glass cleaner.

In the case of a brass patina or nickle finish, the best way to clean the tap is using hot water and a microfibre cloth. Do not use cleaning agents, as this may permanently damage the tap's finish. Treat the tap once every 3 to 6 months with beeswax.

information Note: cleaning products such as dish brushes, scouring sponges, limescale remover and acids or solvents can damage the inside and outside of the tap.

Cleaning tap filter

When the water flow becomes reduced, you can remove the tap filter (the aerator) and place it in vinegar for about an hour. Then rinse off the limescale and put the aerator back in place.

information Note: if you have a Front tap, use the provided aerator key to remove and re-install the tap filter.

Tank maintenance

When the Quooker tap still doesn't produce an optimal water flow, even after the aerator has been cleaned, we advise you to carry out maintenance. You can contact our service department via the contact form in your My Quooker account.

Disconnect tank

(in case of service)

  1. Turning off

Turn off the Quooker tank using the Q button located on the lid of the tank. Leave the power plug in the socket.
  2. Cooling-off the tank

Open the boiling-water tap (push-push-turn) and the cold water tap at the same time. Only close both, once the water runs completely cold.
  3. Closing

Close the mains stopcock valve or isolation valves. Check if the system is depressurized by opening the boiling-water tap again. If properly depressurized, no more water will flow from the tap.
  4. Uncoupling

Uncouple the hoses. In the case of a Quooker PRO3 this is one fewer hose than is indicated in the illustration. Pull the jack plug out of the tank lid. Pull the power plug out of the socket. In the case of a COMBI or COMBI+, allow the unit to empty over the sink.
