x04116_EN_J PBM5000s Skew Compensation There is a number of reasons why finished book- lets could come out skewed. One being that the sheets might not have been cut in perfect angle. The folder can be set up to compensate for that. From the Start screen, press the [Fold Settings] button.
x04116_EN_J PBM5000s Fold Stop Pocket adjustment Normally, setting the Fold Stop Pocket adjustment knob so that the indicator is pointing to the number one position (leftmost position) should be suitable for most combinations of paper weights, sheet lengths and set sizes within the specifications. However, if the fold line is consistently not aligned with the staple line, tightening the Fold Stop Pocket might help to correct this phenomenon.
Page 89
x04116_EN_J PBM5000s Normal setting is position 1 where the Fold Stop Pocket is fully opened. This setting is suitable for corner, edge and saddle stapling. Increasing the setting will tighten the Fold Stop Pocket and is used when saddle stapling sets of various thickness and length and when a misalignment between the staple line and the fold line is experienced.
